Today, we had the pleasure of meeting Cemre Bartu Ayaz to learn more about Aslı Park, one of the leading companies in the playground equipment industry. Mr. Cemre, the founder and Chairman of the Board, shared insights into the company's areas of expertise and his experience in the sector.
Aslı Park Environmental Design and Engineering is a manufacturing company that specializes in children’s playgrounds, metal construction, wooden urban furniture, and landscape design. The company operates under two strong sub-brands:
Thanks to these two brands, the company can cater to a wide range of customer demands, both in traditional and modern design lines.
Aslı Park operates both domestically and internationally. According to Mr. Cemre, the company currently exports to 25–30 countries, and its international dealer network is expanding steadily. However, Turkey remains a key market for playground equipment. Due to continued municipal investment in green spaces, approximately 70–75% of the company’s production is focused on the domestic market, with the remainder allocated to exports.
Today, Aslı Park has successfully completed its branding journey and is recognized for its original designs. Mr. Cemre notes that the company has now entered the phase of "dreaming and making a difference":
“People now come to us specifically requesting our designs. Branding is tough, but once you've achieved it, you can start realizing your dreams.”
Although they have already achieved many of their goals, the company continues to set new ones and pursue growth.
When asked about the most important lesson he’s learned over the years, Mr. Cemre shared the following insight:
“Knowing that you can’t control everything is essential for any businessperson. But you can take precautions for many things. That’s part of experience.”
These words are especially meaningful in light of global economic fluctuations and ever-changing market dynamics.
The children’s playground sector in Turkey is both rapidly expanding and highly volatile. Municipal purchasing cycles directly impact the volume of work in the industry. For this reason, Mr. Cemre emphasizes the importance of having a flexible production structure.
If a company’s sales, production, and financial processes are built on solid foundations, it can emerge stronger from such fluctuations. However, for firms lacking flexibility, the risks can be substantial.
With strong sub-brands, innovative products, and a flexible production model, Aslı Park stands out as one of Turkey’s most prominent players in this sector. The company continues to grow, serving both the domestic and global markets with high-quality, locally produced solutions.
